Hi. I have read all your articles about Damon orthodontics. I want to know how long will the orthodontic treatment take for my teeth (I’ve sent photos of my teeth), and how much does it cost? I truly appreciate your help.
Dr. Hadi Darvishpour :
Greetings.
The length of treatment is shorter with the Damon fixed orthodontic treatment compared to the common fixed orthodontics, and there are fewer visits to the orthodontist, and it is less painful. Since your photo didn’t open, I recommend that you visit the clinic for a free consultation, so I can examine your teeth in person and help you better.

Hi. I want to know do you approve the Damon orthodontics in its all aspects? I’m 21 years old and one of my canine teeth is higher than usual, and the two teeth next to my right and left rabbit teeth are slanted inwards. What is the method of treatment that you approve?
Dr. Hadi Darvishpour :
Greetings.
The Damon method is one of the most advanced techniques in orthodontics, with a shorter length of treatment and less pain. For further information, please have a look at the articles on our website. Also, don’t worry; there is no age limit to have orthodontics with today’s new techniques. Please visit the clinic for a free consultation, so I can better help you regarding the method of treatment according to your teeth.

Hi. Which one is better to use once the braces are removed, a permanent wire retainer mounted behind the teeth or a removable retainer? My doctor says it’s better to use a removable retainer so the teeth can get fixed in their place faster.
Dr. Hadi Darvishpour :
Hi. Please trust your own orthodontist, and there is no need to worry.
Hi. The cost of orthodontics depends on the severity of the jaw and teeth malocclusion. Please visit the clinic for a free of charge consultation.

Hi. I showed you the photo of my teeth, and you said that the shortest way to fix my canine tooth is the Damon orthodontics. How much does it approximately cost, and how long will it take? Thanks.
Dr. Hadi Darvishpour :
Please visit the clinic for a free consultation, so I can see your teeth up close, and make a better assessment, because the cost varies depending on the jaw and teeth irregularities. The cost of treatment is paid in installments in my clinic.
Greetings.
There is no need to replace the orthodontic elastic bands, but they should be always checked by an orthodontist.

I had gaps between my teeth, so I had orthodontics and now it has been finished. My doctor has installed fixed braces at the back of my teeth and gave me removable retainers for both of my jaws. Because my retainer did not fit and I couldn’t speak properly, I had to have the retainer made again, and now I don’t have a retainer. Is it possible for the gaps between my teeth to recur because of not having the retainer or because of the fixed braces at the back of my teeth?
Dr. Hadi Darvishpour :
Please trust your orthodontist and visit your doctor every 3 to 4 months for follow-ups.

Hi. I have an appointment next week to have fixed orthodontics for both jaws. I want to know, can I smoke shisha or cigarettes once the braces are installed?
Dr. Hadi Darvishpour :
Hi. It’s better not to smoke for the sake of the health of your teeth, because since you have braces on your teeth, the risk of tooth decay increases as a result of poor oral hygiene during the orthodontic treatment.

I’m 18 years old. Two of my upper teeth overlap, and it’s been a few years that I intend to have orthodontics. But two of my lower teeth have also been tilted and overlapped in the past few months. I visited an orthodontist and he said that he will extract two of the upper teeth and one from the lower teeth, and my upper jaw will go a little backward and my lower jaw will come a little forward. I’m really concerned, because I don’t want my jaws to move and I just like to have straight teeth. And will orthodontics cause my upper lip prominence to decrease? What do you think about this doctor’s opinion? And does the form of my jaw and lips change? And I have a question about my wisdom teeth. For now, I just feel one wisdom tooth under the gum. Does wisdom tooth affect the other teeth after orthodontics? Thanks for insight in advance.
Dr. Hadi Darvishpour :
If you have visited an orthodontist, his diagnosis is correct and you don’t need to worry. Sometimes, the lips may move inward when teeth are extracted, and if the lips are narrow, the changes may be more visible. The wisdom tooth may also be extracted if the orthodontist sees necessary.

Hi. I’m 12 years old and my teeth are severely overlapped, both lower and upper teeth. In your opinion, which orthodontic treatment should I have, fixed or removable? Thanks.
Dr. Hadi Darvishpour :
Greetings. If your teeth are just irregular and disorganized, fixed orthodontics is recommended, but if there are jaw problems, for example your jaw is behind or forward, first the jaw problem should be adjusted by removable orthodontics. Afterwards, fixed orthodontics is recommended for both jaws and also to straighten the teeth.
